THIS GIBSON ALPHA SERIES IS A CUSTOM SHOP SUPERSTRAT FROM THE WAYNE CHARVEL ERA OF THE GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP!

The Q series models have "Custom Shop Edition" on the back of the peghead!

ORIGINAL HARDSHELL CASE INCLUDED!

THE JULY 1985 PRODUCTION DATE PUTS THIS AS THE "Q-400" BEFORE THE CHANGE IN NAME ONLY TO "Q-4000" IN LATE '85 - A RARE BIRD!!

NECK THROUGH CONSTRUCTION- PRE-DATING THE LATER BOLT-ON VERSION!

GIBSON introduced the Q-400 superstrat in 1985 and 1987. It was renamed the Q-4000 in late 1985 and production continued until 1987. Pickups are one Dirty Fingers humbucking pickup at the bridge and two single coil pickups.

THIS GUITAR HAS BEEN STRIPPED TO A NATURAL FINISH FROM THE FACTORY EBONY FINISH. NECK IS STILL PAINTED EBONY.

THERE HAS BEEN A HEADSTOCK REPAIR AT THE FIRST TUNING KEY, AND THE HIGH E TUNER IS NOT ORIGINAL

TRUSS ROD COVER AND LOCKING NUT HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

THE ORIGINAL COIL TAP PUSH PULL HAS BEEN REPLACE WITH A STANDARD POT.
