1985 FERNANDES "THE FUNCTION" FST-65 HSS - CANDY APPLE RED! MADE IN JAPAN! RARE!
This guitar looks, sounds, and plays great! Classic 80s Super-Strat! Matched neck and headstock!
WITH HEAD CRASHER FRT-6C LOCKING TREMOLO - Floyd Rose, for unknown reasons, discontinued the Fernandes Japan contract following the Kramer deal. Fernandes, having experience making official Floyd Rose models for the last 4 years, was determined make a very fine licensed tremolo. And because of this, Fernandes arguably made one of the best licensed Floyd Rose units of the era!

Fernandes FST-65 super-Strat style, made in Japan between 84-87, this one dates to 1985!
This is a very cool example of 80s MIJ shreddable super Strats. It's nicely put together and feels extremely sturdy and reassuring in the hands, the neck and frets etc are all bang-on.
The 'Head Crasher' (best name ever) tremolo functions like a Floyd Rose, but you don't need to remove the ball ends and clamp the strings in; it's a little simpler. It's very stable and fun to do crazy tricks on. The also-brilliantly-named Dog Fighter pickup look awesome, they're high-output passive pickups and they crunch up nicely.
Handy little shred-machine!
