The 2618 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1976. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.
The 1977 2618 features an carved maple top with cream binding on a double-cutaway mahogany body mated to a set-in laminated maple neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with binding, a bone and brass nut, and abalone fretboard inlays. Components include a pair of Super 80 "Flying Finger" humbucking pickups mounted in cream pickup rings with individual volume and tone controls, Gibraltar bridge with sustain block embedded in the body and the slotted Gibraltar tailpiece with scalloped "cloud" ornament, speed knobs and VelveTune machine heads.
