The “Master Artist Series” is the flagship Strandberg line, aiming for the highest peak of made-in-Japan products.

“Master Artist Series” guitars are handmade under the supervision of the best builders in Japan, using carefully selected materials, and have been further brushed up not only in looks but also in feel.

Each model in this series has a clear concept and is offered with a one-of-a-kind appeal.

The Master Artists are responsible for the coloring of the Master Artist Series, and their unique look, which fully demonstrates the master luthier's sense of style, will give them an overwhelming presence on the live stage or in video recording situations.

It is the ultimate masterpiece of “Boden”.

The 8th model in the series is the only 8-string model in the “Master Artist Series".

The body is made of poplar burl and silver heart selected from the workshop stock and beautifully finished in “Bordeaux Red” color.

The back is finished in a fade color that shows the remarkable grain of the wood, a concept color unique to MAS born from the idea of reversing the front and back of the body.

The fingerboard is made of Bolivian rosewood, which has been attracting attention in recent years as an alternative tone wood to Brazilian rosewood.

The wood has a rosewood-like texture similar to that of ebony, and the grain patterns on the fingerboard give it a luxurious look.

The neck is a wenge with walnut fillets, a combination that emphasizes the rigidity of the neck, which is essential for an 8-string model.

The have been upgraded to Lundgren M8C humbuckers.
