Gibson Hummingbird pickguard!
This "red label" FG-300 was built in '71. At that point, this was the best Yamaha jumbo you could buy and this one is modded with a with a nice Gibson Hummingbird pickguard! They're essentially an FG-180 body but with all the trimmings!
Fancy inlay in the fretboard, binding, and ply-rosewood (vs ply-mahogany) back and sides,.
It also has a fully-adjustable ABR-style saddle/bridge unit mounted into the usual acoustic bridge, much like the Gibson Hummingbirds and J-200s from the same era.
Tone is huge and round. It makes a great strummer or cowboy-chord guitar. Fingerpicking it had a delightful, sweet tone.
